Spiritual Revival

Striving for a global spiritual revival through Tawbah (repentance), Tazkiyah (self-purification), and Ṭarīqah (the spiritual path), with the ultimate goal of attaining the love of Allāh and His beloved Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ).

Tawbah

Tawbah (repentance) is the act of turning to Allāh after sinning,. Rooted in the Qurʼān and Sunnah, it is essential when one has sinned or disobeyed Allāh and involves four steps: acknowledging sins, feeling remorse, seeking forgiveness sincerely for Allāh’s sake, and resolving not to repeat the sin.

Kanz ul Huda: The Harmony of Faith, Action, and Spiritual Transformation

Kanz ul Huda embodies the synthesis of faith and action, serving as the catalyst for personal and social transformation. It provides an environment where spiritual disciples (murīds) advance on their journey as true saliks (travellers) through conscious servitude to the Creator and the creation. By offering avenues for knowledge, tarbiyyah (spiritual development), and the application of organisational tenets, Kanz ul Huda enables sincere practice of faith.

Spiritual growth is fostered through implementing Kanz ul Huda’s structure, guided by the Prophetic ﷺ principles of dawah (invitation) and khidmah al-khalq (service to creation). These serve as practical means for spreading Islām and advancing its social, ethical, and humanitarian values.

While Kanz ul Huda integrates the ṭarīqah (spiritual path) and the organisation, it welcomes seekers from diverse ṭurūq (paths) and backgrounds, uniting them in love for Almighty Allāh and His beloved Messenger, Sayyidunā Rasūlullāh ﷺ.

What is Bayʽah?

Upon initiating into the tariqah by way of performing bayʽah, the individual repents from all sins committed in the past, thus washing away any impurity. Bayʽah is an established tradition performed to gain steadfastness in this repentance and a means of connecting one’s heart to the chain of the pious, gaining consistency in the tenets of Islām. It commences with a firm intention and utterance of the words of bayʽah and serves as an oath of allegiance made by a seeker of marifah, connecting them to the spiritual path. By performing bai’ah at the hands of a reputable scholar and guide, one takes the first step towards spiritual closeness to Almighty Allāh, opening the doors of spirituality. This practice emulates the noble companions who gave bayʽah and their allegiance to Sayyidunā Rasūlullāh ﷺ.

After performing bai’ah, it is vital to adhere to all necessary aspects of deen and abstain from sins to progress towards the marifah of Almighty Allāh and the maḥabbah of Sayyidunā Rasūlullāh ﷺ. If any prayers, Ramaḍān fasts, or zakāt have been missed, they should be atoned for through qaḍā ʽumrī, fasting, and giving in the path of Almighty Allāh what is owed.
